Vulcania

When you stay at Camping Bois de Gravière, one of the most exciting excursions you can make with family or friends is a day at the Vulcania park. Located in the heart of the Auvergne volcanoes, this park, unique in Europe, combines scientific discovery, thrills and fun around planet Earth, natural phenomena and volcanism.
Vulcania: a volcanic adventure
Out of the ordinary
Just a 30-minute drive from our campsite, Vulcania takes you on an incredible adventure where learning is fun. It’s much more than just an amusement park: it’s a themed scientific culture center entirely dedicated to volcanoes, the Earth and its natural phenomena, located in Saint-Ours-les-Roches in the Puy-de-Dôme region.
The park stands out for its educational and interactive approach. Rather than just watching, you experience, feel and live volcanism and the forces of nature. Whether you’re curious about science or simply looking for a thrill, Vulcania strikes the right balance between learning and fun.
Admission to the park, generally open from late March to early November, gives access to a full day of exploration with attractions, films, exhibitions and interactive experiences that often last more than 6 hours if you want to see and test everything.
