In the heart of the Parc des Volcans d’Auvergne, in the department of Puy-de-Dôme, the Bois de Gravière campsite was born in an exceptional natural setting, close to the medieval town of Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise. It was here, in the Chaîne des Puys, surrounded by volcanic landscapes and majestic lakes, that the campsite opened its doors over 30 years ago. The idea was simple: to share with nature lovers an authentic campsite where they could recharge their batteries while enjoying the wonders of the region. Right from the start, our campsite in Besse has attracted visitors thanks to its privileged location in the center of France, at the foot of the Puy de Sancy, and its friendly atmosphere that encourages encounters and discoveries.

Over the years, we have continued to evolve to meet your expectations while preserving our authenticity. Our infrastructure has been modernized, with the addition of comfortable mobile homes and well-equipped chalets, while retaining pitches for tents and caravans, allowing everyone to enjoy their own camping experience. In collaboration with local partners (sports, skiing, snowshoeing, cycling, etc.), we offer a range of services for the whole family: guided hikes,
nature workshops and themed evenings, to name but a few. Respect for the environment is at the heart of our concerns, and we are committed to an eco-responsible approach, raising our visitors’ awareness of the need to preserve the natural environment.
