The Chaîne des Puys listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site is a group of some 80 volcanoes stretching over 45 km in the northern Massif-central. It is part of the Auvergne volcanoes, themselves part of the Parc naturel régional des Volcans d’Auvergne. This natural site encompasses all forms of volcanism and is a fascinating visual spectacle, and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2018.
